In yesterday’s v33.20 Fortnite update, leakers uncovered encrypted files related to Kong cosmetics. Today, these files were decrypted, revealing not just the Kong skin but also a Mechagodzilla skin, set to hit the Fortnite item shop soon.
Release Date and Time
Both the Kong and Mechagodzilla skins will be available for purchase in the item shop starting:
- Date: January 16
- Time: 7 PM ET (coinciding with the daily item shop reset)
This release also aligns with the Godzilla quests, which unlock in-game at the same time. If you already own the Battle Pass, completing these quests will earn you the regular Godzilla skin.
Note: The Kong and Mechagodzilla skins will not require the Battle Pass and can be purchased directly using V-Bucks.
